cdk deploy supports --progress errors-only

Introduced 2026-08-19 · score 0.99

HOW TO USE IT

When routine deployment progress is unhelpful, run `cdk deploy --progress errors-only` to suppress routine output and retain errors.

cdk deploy --progress errors-only

WHY THIS HELPS

When deploying a stack in an automated workflow where progress updates are not useful, suppress routine deployment output while retaining errors.

BEFORE THIS CHANGE

Use the `events` progress mode, which prints per-event progress during deployment.

REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS

  • Version: 2.1138.0
  • --progress errors-only: Selects the progress output mode that prints nothing during deployment except errors.
  • The mode prints nothing during deployment except failures.
  • Automatic selection when an AI agent is detected is planned for a separate PR and is not part of this change.
