HOW TO USE IT
When a workflow job needs to run against a Git ref other than the triggering ref, set `ref` on its first `eas/checkout` step to the desired branch, tag, or full commit SHA.
jobs:
<job_id>:
steps:
- uses: eas/checkout
with:
ref: <branch_tag_or_full_commit_sha>WHY THIS HELPS
Run a build job against a branch, tag, or commit other than the ref that triggered the job.
REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS
- Version: v21.5.0
- ref: Git branch, tag, or full commit SHA to check out. Defaults to the ref that triggered the build or workflow job. Must be set on the job's first `eas/checkout` step.
- Prerequisite: Project sources must come from a Git repository, such as a job triggered through the GitHub integration; local builds and uploaded project tarballs do not support `ref`.
- Prerequisite: The requested ref must be reachable from the source repository's `origin`; checkout uses a shallow fetch (`--depth 1`).
- The `ref` input selects a branch, tag, or commit SHA.
