eas workflow:create adds template-based workflow generation
Introduced 2026-07-13 · score 0.95
HOW TO USE IT
When generating a repository workflow, run `eas workflow:create --template <build|update|deploy|custom>` to select a template; for a placeholder, pass a file name without `--template`. The command creates the workflow under `.eas/workflows` and configures project services when the template requires them.

Generate a build, update, deploy, or development-build workflow for a repository.
REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS
- Version: v21.0.0
- [NAME]: Workflow file name. Without `--template`, creates a placeholder workflow.
- --template: Selects `build`, `update`, `deploy`, or `custom`. These are allowed values; docs do not state they are mutually exclusive with one another. If omitted, the CLI prompts for a template unless a name is passed, which creates a placeholder.
- --skip-validation: Skips workflow validation before creation; defaults to false.
- Prerequisite: Install EAS CLI and sign in to an Expo account; workflow creation requires logged-in CLI context.
- Prerequisite: The CLI workflow creation command uses project configuration and VCS context.
