HOW TO USE IT

When creating a node pool with an additional network interface, set `stack-type` to the required IP stack: `ipv4`, `ipv4-ipv6`, or `ipv6`.

WHY THIS HELPS

Create a Kubernetes node pool whose additional network interfaces require a specific IP stack type.

BEFORE THIS CHANGE

Before this release, `gcloud container node-pools create` did not provide the `stack-type` option for `--additional-node-network`.

REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS

• <POOL_NAME> (required): Name of the new node pool.
• --cluster (required): Existing cluster to which the node pool is added.
• --location (required): Cluster location; specify a zone or region.
• --additional-node-network: Attach an additional network interface to each node; may be specified up to 7 times in the CLI reference.
• network (required): Network to attach to the new interface.
• subnetwork (required): Subnetwork to attach to the new interface.
• stack-type: Interface IP stack type: `ipv4`, `ipv4-ipv6`, or `ipv6`. The docs do not state these values are mutually exclusive beyond requiring one value for this parameter.
• Prerequisite: Create the node pool in an existing cluster. Multi-network setup requires a cluster with multi-networking enabled; the docs say to enable it only when Dataplane V2 is enabled.
• Prerequisite: Prepare the additional VPC and subnet. The selected stack type must be compatible with the subnet: IPv4-only permits `ipv4`, dual-stack permits all three, and IPv6-only permits `ipv6`.
• The stack-type choices stated are `ipv4`, `ipv4-ipv6`, or `ipv6`.
