GitHub GraphQL adds pull request dismissal restrictions
Introduced 2026-07-08 · score 0.93
HOW TO USE IT
When configuring pull request parameters, set `dismissalRestriction` with `enabled` and optional `allowedActors` IDs to restrict who can dismiss reviews. The schema docs confirm these fields, but do not show a complete mutation invocation for applying them.
WHY THIS HELPS
Configure dismissal restrictions for a pull request using the GraphQL API.
REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS
- PullRequestParametersInput.dismissalRestriction: Input for specifying people, teams, or apps allowed to dismiss pull request reviews.
- DismissalRestrictionInput.enabled (required): Whether to restrict review dismissal to specific actors (`Boolean!`).
- DismissalRestrictionInput.allowedActors: IDs of people, teams, or apps allowed to dismiss pull request reviews (`[ID!]`).
- DismissalRestriction.enabled: Object field exposed by the schema; the reference describes the corresponding input field as whether review dismissal is restricted to specific actors.
- DismissalRestriction.allowedActors: Object field exposed by the schema; the reference describes the corresponding input as specifying people, teams, or apps allowed to dismiss reviews.
