HOW TO USE IT

When multiple items in one project need the same field update, call `projects_write` with `method: "update_project_items"` and the item references and field value.

Update multiple project items through the server's project workflow.

REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS

  • Version: v1.8.0
  • method (required): Set to `update_project_items`.
  • owner (required): Project owner’s user or organization login.
  • project_number (required): Number of the project to update.
  • items (required): Up to 50 item references. Each uses exactly one variant: `node_id`, numeric `item_id`, or `item_owner` + `item_repo` + `issue_number`.
  • updated_field (required): The single field/value applied to every item. Use `{ "id": <field-id>, "value": <value> }` or `{ "name": "<field-name>", "value": <value> }`; use `null` to clear the field.
  • owner_type: Set to `user` or `org`; if omitted, the server detects the owner type.
  • Prerequisite: The `projects_write` tool requires the `project` OAuth scope.
