github-mcp-server list_label supports cursor pagination

Introduced 2026-10-21 · score 0.99

HOW TO USE IT

When reviewing or triaging a repository that may have more than 100 labels, call `list_label` with `perPage` and keep fetching pages using each response’s cursor until no further page is indicated. This lets you check all returned labels before deciding whether one exists.

list_label({"owner":"<owner>","repo":"<repo>","perPage":100})
list_label({"owner":"<owner>","repo":"<repo>","perPage":100,"after":"<nextCursor from previous response pageInfo>"})

WHY THIS HELPS

When reviewing or triaging a repository with more than 100 labels, retrieve all labels before deciding whether a label exists.

BEFORE THIS CHANGE

The tool made one `labels(first: 100)` query and returned `labels` and `totalCount`; labels beyond the first 100 were not returned.

REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS

  • Version: v2.0.3
  • owner (required): Repository owner username or organization name.
  • repo (required): Repository name.
  • perPage: Results per page; 1–100. Defaults to 100 for this tool.
  • after: Pagination cursor; use the cursor from the previous response.
  • Prerequisite: The `list_label` tool requires OAuth scope `repo`.
  • `perPage` accepts values from 1 to 100.
  • Repositories with up to 100 labels still receive all labels in one call by default.
