glab group clone adds --exclude-subgroup

Introduced 2026-10-13 · score 0.92

HOW TO USE IT

When cloning a group’s repositories while excluding subgroup projects, run `glab repo clone` with `--group`, `--exclude-subgroup`, and `--paginate`.

glab repo clone -g <group> --exclude-subgroup <subgroup-path> --paginate

WHY THIS HELPS

Clone a group repository set while excluding subgroup repositories.

REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS

  • Version: v1.123.0
  • -g, --group <group> (required): Group to clone repositories from.
  • --exclude-subgroup <subgroup-path> (required): Skip projects in a subgroup, using its path relative to the group. Repeat the flag or use comma-separated values for multiple subgroups. Shared projects from other namespaces are unaffected.
  • --paginate (required): Fetch additional pages of projects before cloning; respects `--per-page`.
