Introduced 2026-10-20 · score 0.91
HOW TO USE IT
When creating an issue or incident note that should be internal, pass `--internal` to its note command. Supply the target ID and note text; the issue documentation says internal notes are visible only to project members.
glab issue note <issue-id> --message "<note text>" --internalglab incident note <incident-id> --message "<note text>" --internalWHY THIS HELPS
Create an internal note on an issue or incident.
REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS
- Version: v1.124.0
- <issue-id> / <incident-id> (required): Identifies the issue or incident to comment on.
- --message <text>: Sets the note text; without it, the command opens an editor.
- --internal: Creates an internal note, visible only to project members; documented for issue notes.
- Applies to issue and incident note commands.
- Docs conflict: Current incident note docs do not list `--internal`; they document `glab incident note <incident-id> [flags]` and `--message` only. The release note says the flag applies to incident note commands.
