hf jobs ps filters by labels and negated conditions

Introduced 2026-02-03 · score 0.92

HOW TO USE IT

When reviewing Hub Jobs, use `hf jobs ps -a` with repeated `--filter` options to match status, command, or labels; use `!=` to exclude matches.

hf jobs ps -a --filter status!=error
hf jobs ps -a --filter "command!=*train.py"
hf jobs ps -a --filter label=model=Qwen3-06B --filter label=dataset!=Capybara

WHY THIS HELPS

When reviewing Hub Jobs used to run repository workflows, filter the job listing by status, command, or labels.

BEFORE THIS CHANGE

The release note documents status and command filters using `=` before this change; label filtering and `!=` are the additions.

REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS

  • Version: v1.4.0
  • -a, --all: Show Jobs of all statuses; without it, the command shows running Jobs by default.
  • -f, --filter <condition>: Filter by a condition in `key=value` form. Repeat the option to require multiple filters; documented label examples include `label=<key>` and `label=<key>=<value>`.
  • != operator: Negate a condition, including status, command, and label conditions.
  • label filter condition: `label=<key>` matches a label without a specified value; `label=<key>=<value>` matches a key-value label. Filters are applied together; docs do not describe them as mutually exclusive.
  • Prerequisite: Install the `hf` CLI; v1.4.0 docs say it is shipped with `huggingface_hub` and provide standalone and `uvx` installation options.
  • Prerequisite: The Jobs CLI guide says to be logged in to manage Hub Jobs; login uses a Hugging Face user access token.
