kustomize edit add configuration adds configuration file references
Introduced 2026-09-30 · score 0.96
HOW TO USE IT
When adding configuration references to a kustomization file, run `kustomize edit add configuration` with one or more file paths. The command accepts glob patterns and skips duplicate references with a log message, making repeated additions idempotent.
kustomize edit add configuration <filepath>kustomize edit add configuration <filepath1>,<filepath2>kustomize edit add configuration <path-or-glob> [<path-or-glob> ...]WHY THIS HELPS
Add configuration file references to a kustomization.yaml from the command line.
REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS
- Version: v5.8.2
- configuration filepath argument (required): At least one YAML file path containing a configuration resource; multiple arguments are accepted. Glob patterns are expanded.
- Prerequisite: Run in a directory containing a readable kustomization file; the command reads and writes that file.
