Lighthouse CLI audits multiple URLs and avoids report filename collisions
Introduced 2026-10-27 · score 0.98
HOW TO USE IT
When auditing multiple pages in one CLI run, pass their URLs as arguments or provide a newline-delimited URL file; Lighthouse audits them sequentially. Use `--fail-fast` to stop after a failed run.
lighthouse <url-1> <url-2>lighthouse --url-file=<path-to-newline-delimited-urls> --output-path=<existing-reports-directory>WHY THIS HELPS
Audit several pages in one CLI run and keep their default report files distinct.
REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS
- Version: 13.6.0
- Non-interactive: On the first CLI run, Lighthouse prompts for permission to anonymously report runtime exceptions.
- Non-interactive: `--output json` sends JSON output to stdout by default.
- --url-file: Path to a file containing newline-delimited URLs.
- --fail-fast: Stop auditing remaining URLs when a run fails.
- --output-path: Output file or directory; the directory must already exist.
- Prerequisite: Node 22 (LTS) or later.
- Prerequisite: Install the CLI with `npm install -g lighthouse` or `yarn global add lighthouse`.
- URLs are audited sequentially.
