Payment Links block specified card brands

Introduced 2026-05-27 · score 0.92

HOW TO USE IT

When a Payment Link should reject selected card brands, set `payment_method_options[card][restrictions][brands_blocked]` to the brands to block. Customers using a blocked brand must choose another payment method to complete payment.

curl https://api.stripe.com/v1/payment_links -u <SECRET_KEY>: -d "line_items[0][price]"=<PRICE_ID> -d "line_items[0][quantity]"=1 -d "payment_method_options[card][restrictions][brands_blocked][0]"=visa
curl https://api.stripe.com/v1/payment_links/<PAYMENT_LINK_ID> -u <SECRET_KEY>: -d "payment_method_options[card][restrictions][brands_blocked][0]"=visa

WHY THIS HELPS

When creating or updating a Payment Link that should reject selected card brands, configure its blocked brands.
