Pulumi Automation API adds `up`
Introduced 2026-10-28 · score 0.97
HOW TO USE IT
When an Automation API program needs to update a stack, call the generated `up` operation on its stack object.
const result = await stack.up();result = stack.up()result, err := s.Up(ctx, stdoutStreamer)
if err != nil {
// Handle update failure.
}WHY THIS HELPS
Update a NodeJS, Python, or Go automation program to run a Pulumi stack update through the generated Automation API.
REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS
- Version: 3.273.0
- Non-interactive: Automation API failures surface as language-native exceptions; `up` returns a result object with a summary and stack outputs.
- Prerequisite: Pulumi CLI available on `PATH` or installed programmatically at runtime.
- Prerequisite: Runtime for the chosen language installed.
- Prerequisite: Pulumi access token or another configured state backend.
- The generated API addition applies to NodeJS, Python, and Go.
