Introduced 2026-06-24 · score 0.96
HOW TO USE IT
When you need to inspect a repository’s detected framework preset and deployment files without creating a deployment, run `vercel deploy --dry`; for complete JSON output, add `--format=json` or use non-TTY output. [Vercel changelog](https://vercel.com/changelog/dry-run-deployments-with-vercel-cli)
vercel deploy --dryvercel deploy --dry --format=jsonWHY THIS HELPS
Inspect which framework preset and local deployment files a repository deploy would use without creating a deployment.
REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS
- Version: vercel@54.17.0
- --dry (required): Run a deployment dry run to preview the framework preset and files included.
- --format=json: Return the complete file manifest as JSON; non-TTY output uses JSON automatically.
- Prerequisite: Run from a linked project; the changelog specifies Vercel CLI v54.17.2 or later.
- The dry run does not upload files or create a deployment.
- Complete JSON output is specified for non-TTY consumers.
- Docs conflict: The card version is vercel@54.17.0, but the official changelog says v54.17.2 or later is required.
