HOW TO USE IT
When a repository workflow needs machine-readable results for Vercel deployment or project configuration changes, pass `--json` to a supported command. Add `--yes` when confirmation is required; `vercel promote` waits between checks and stops at `--timeout` while a Rolling Release waits for its first stage.
vercel promote <deployment-id-or-url> --json [--yes] [--timeout <duration>]
vercel promote status [project] --jsonvercel rollback <deployment-id-or-url> --json [--yes]
vercel rollback status [project] --json
vercel redeploy <deployment-id-or-url> --json [--yes]vercel link --json [--yes]
vercel pull --json [--yes]
vercel env add <name> <environment> --json [--yes]
vercel env remove <name> <environment> --json [--yes]
vercel domains add <domain> <project> --json [--yes]
vercel domains remove <domain> --json [--yes]WHY THIS HELPS
Automate deployment and project configuration changes from a repository workflow that needs machine-readable results.
REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS
- Version: 65.10.0
- Non-interactive: `--json` does not prompt. A required confirmation still needs `--yes`; result documents go to stdout and error documents to stderr.
- --json: Emit one result document to stdout or one error document to stderr.
- --yes: Confirm when the command requires confirmation; JSON mode does not prompt.
- --timeout: Stop waiting after this duration for a Rolling Release's first stage.
- Prerequisite: Authenticate with a Vercel token for CI/CD use.
- Prerequisite: Install Vercel CLI with `pnpm i -g vercel`.
- `--json` never prompts; a confirmation still requires `--yes`.
- The `--timeout` behavior applies while a Rolling Release waits for its first stage.
