wrangler types generates typed pipeline bindings from stream schemas
Introduced 2026-02-19 · score 0.96
HOW TO USE IT
When a configured pipeline stream has a schema and Wrangler is authenticated, run `wrangler types` to generate schema-based TypeScript binding types. Otherwise, pipeline bindings use `Pipeline<PipelineRecord>`.
wrangler types{"pipelines":[{"binding":"ANALYTICS","pipeline":"<pipeline-id>"}]}WHY THIS HELPS
Generate types for a Worker that sends data to a schema-defined pipeline.
REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS
- Version: 4.67.0
- PATH: Optional output path for the generated types; defaults to `./worker-configuration.d.ts` and must end in `.d.ts`.
- Prerequisite: Use Wrangler 4.67.0 or later for the release-note behavior.
- Prerequisite: Authenticate with Cloudflare and configure the pipeline binding; unauthenticated runs fall back to `Pipeline<PipelineRecord>`.
- Stream schema fields determine the generated TypeScript types.
- Unstructured streams or runs without authentication use the generic `Pipeline<PipelineRecord>` type.
