Local Explorer invokes a Worker scheduled() handler during local development

When testing `scheduled()` locally, start a development server and use Local Explorer’s Cron Triggers page or API to invoke a configured or ad hoc cron expression, then inspect the result. Full logs and traces are available in the Worker’s owning development session when Observability is enabled.

curl -X POST "http://localhost:8787/cdn-cgi/local/explorer/api/local/scheduled?worker=<worker-name>" -H "Content-Type: application/json" --data '{"cron":"0 * * * *","scheduled_time":1745856238000}'

cf API request map fields accept inline JSON or file input

When an API request has map fields, supply each as inline JSON or `@path/to/file.json`. With `--body`, include all required map fields.

cf docs search returns ranked documentation results

When implementing or debugging code that uses a Cloudflare product, use an Internet connection to search the live docs with `cf docs search "<query>"`; it returns up to five ranked JSON results. To read a result as Markdown, select its URL with `jq` and request it with `curl` using `Accept: text/markdown`.

cf docs search searches live Cloudflare documentation

When you need Cloudflare guidance and have no Cloudflare login, run `cf docs search "schedule a worker"`; use a result URL with `Accept: text/markdown` to fetch the complete page.

cf hand-written commands add --dry-run

When validating a hand-written `cf` command, pass `--dry-run` to validate its arguments and preview effects without running its handler. Commands with an existing dry-run implementation keep their command-specific preview.

cf deploy supports --no-provision

When deploying a Worker, pass `--no-provision` to make bindings without required resource identifiers fail instead of creating resources. Provisioning remains enabled by default.

cf tunnels quick-start supports email protection

When sharing a temporary tunnel to a local development server with access limited to specified email recipients, run `cf tunnels quick-start` with `--allowed-mail` and the origin URL. The option accepts email addresses or wildcard domains and may be repeated or comma-separated; use `cloudflared` 2026.9.2 or later for protected tunnels.

cf initializes and deploys Workers projects

When creating a Workers project, install `cf` globally and run `cf init <project-dir>`; then use `cf dev`, `cf build`, and `cf deploy` to develop, build, and deploy it. Sign in with `cf auth login` before deploying. [Install and sign in](https://developers.cloudflare.com/cf/get-started/)

npm install --global cf cf auth login cf init <project-dir> cd <project-dir> cf dev cf build cf deploy

cf access tcp proxies connections through Access

When proxying TCP, SSH, RDP, or SMB through Access, run `cf access tcp`. Service-token secrets are passed to `cloudflared` through its environment, not its arguments.

cf cli search discovers CLI commands
